More and more people today are waking up to the demonstrable fact that there is a relatively small, well-defined group of individuals working in concert to bring about a “one world” system of centralized power and totalitarian control that the perpetrators themselves fondly refer to as a “new world order”.

However, there is so much misinformation, disinformation, and so many red herrings out there related to this topic (especially on the internet) that many people still do not have a well-developed and factually sound grasp of the nuts and bolts of this system, backed by direct, valid evidence; nor do they understand the underlying ideology (collectivism) of the elitists behind this “end run around national sovereignty” (as Richard Gardner once put it).

This is indicative that (amongst other things) many people still have not payed close enough attention to the work of G. Edward Griffin.

Most people who are awake to the reality of the Federal Reserve System at least vaguely know that Griffin is an expert on that particular topic. Most have heard of his famous book The Creature From Jekyll Island, and have seen him in documentaries such as America: Freedom To Fascism and Fiat Empire. They “like” him; they perceive that he is intelligent, articulate, and knowledgeable; but I suspect that many still do not fully appreciate the unusual clarity with which he sees the “big picture”, nor the scope and depth of his knowledge regarding the details that make it up.

Before many of us were born, Griffin was not only keenly aware of the covert drive towards a “global government based on the model of collectivism”, but he had already become one of the most tenacious researchers and articulate communicators of the evidence. As Alex Jones said when introducing Griffin as a guest on his radio show in 2007, “G. Edward Griffin [is] really a legend in the alternative media New World Order resistance movement; one of the last living icons — the great grandaddies — in the fight.”

Later in the interview, Jones elaborated:

“A lot of you woke up to the New World Order because of G. Edward Griffin, [but] you don’t know it. Some other author… some other person woke you up, but you don’t know that he woke them up. That’s how these “ripples in a pond” happen; it’s the guy who was there 20, 30, 40, I guess now 48 years ago when [he] got started throwing rocks in the pond, [back when] there were very few people [in the fight].”

This is exactly right. The problem is that many of the “authors” and “other people” who are waking people up today do not apply the level of scholarship, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail that Griffin has consistently displayed. One consequence of this is the proliferation of the credibility-damaging misinformation that I mentioned a moment ago. But another equally if not more important consequence of inferior researchers acting as teachers, leaders, and de-facto mentors is that, besides perpetuating inaccurate information, they fail to impart the kind of work ethic that we need if we are to win over true academics and skeptics who are willing to listen to this information, but who will fact-check what we say (as they should), and who will reject our message if those facts do not check out.

Thus, I contend that the lessons that can be learned by observing Griffin’s attitude and work ethic are just as important as the explosive, eye-opening content contained within his books, videos, and lectures. He is one of the few individuals in this “movement” whose research you can “take to the bank”. If he quotes something and sources it, you can bet he has viewed the source document and transcribed it accurately. He has not simply pulled an unsourced or unverified quote off of an internet page.

There are two more very important things that those of us who wish to spread the word about what is really going on in the world can and must learn from G. Edward Griffin that I would like to mention. The first is this:

In the aforementioned 2007 interview with Alex Jones, Griffin said, “Dan Smoot was one of the great mentors for me. And I remember thinking one time as I was reading Dan Smoot Report, ‘I wish I could write like that; with such clarity of thought; with no garbage in it; right to the point.’” As anyone who is familiar with Griffin’s work can attest, it turned out that he was capable of writing like that (highly capable), and as his oft-cited bio says, he is today “well known because of his talent for researching difficult topics and presenting them in clear terms that all can understand.” This straight-to-the-point approach is one of the major things that makes him such an effective communicator of information that people often have a very hard time accepting psychologically (due to its paradigm-shifting implications). Conversely, it is the failure to adhere to this approach that has made some researchers much less effective than they could be. It is incumbent upon the next generation of anti New World Order researchers and activist that we “inherit” this important trait from Griffin, just as he inherited it from Smoot, if we wish to reach a “critical mass” of awareness in the general public as quickly as possible.

Griffin put this imperative succinctly in the introduction to his 1969 lecture More Deadly Than War:

“Ladies and gentlemen, again let me say welcome to our home, and thank you for taking the time to be here. I’m well aware that whether you are here in person, or through the medium of motion picture, that for most of you it is not easy to fit meetings of this kind into your schedules. But the fact that you are here indicates that you do have an interest in the subject, and that means that there is a tremendous obligation on my part to develop that subject with the kind of usable information that will make it worth your while.”

The last thing about G. Edward Griffin that I would like to point out is his rare combination of 1) the kind of intense, sincere passion and unwavering dedication that comes from an eyes-wide-open understanding of what losing this “war” against the “new world order” crowd will mean, and 2) a calm, down to Earth demeanor, derived from his understanding of the long-range nature of this “war” and the detrimental effect to one’s health and effectiveness as a communicator to be any other way.

ALEX JONES: Do you ever get frustrated — because you’ve been a prolific, creative guy, and it seems like you’re doing more now than ever — that there’s just so [many people] you want to warn, so [much] you want to do, so many fact you’ve got, but then you’ve just got so much info that there’s just not enough time to do it all?

G. EDWARD GRIFFIN: (laughs) Do I ever get that way? I’m constantly that way. But I decided some years ago that I had to put a lid on it, because otherwise I’d be so filled with anxiety and frustration that I wouldn’t be able to think straight. … That’s the way I was when I was your age actually.  And then I realized that it was getting to my health, and so I kind of backed off a little bit.  And people say “Oh, you’re so calm now. Nothing seems to bother you.”  They have no idea what fire is raging inside.  Yeah.  Constant anxiety and frustration about what is going on in the world.  But somewhere along the line as you mature you think “Well, okay, you’ve got to survive all of this.  You’ve got to live.  So cool down and take it one step at a time.” That’s what I try to do.

And from the conclusion of his lecture entitled An Idea Whose Time Has Come, the final part of his series The Future Is Calling:

“I’m going to close by telling you that the future is calling. It really is. Can you hear it like I do? I hear it every morning when I wake. I hear it all day long, and usually the last thing before I sleep.

I hear the voices of my grandchildren, and their grandchildren, and they call me by name: “Papa. Papa. What are you doing? What’s happening to our freedom? What are you doing?” And in my mind’s ear I hear myself reply: “Hold on. Hold on. I’m doing everything I can.”

Doesn’t anyone else hear these voices? I wonder if the world is so deafened by the sound of cash registers and rock music and sporting events and sitcom laugh tracks that they cannot hear.

Well I have heard, and I have given my answer for all to hear. And now it would please me so much if you would add your voices to mine, so that together we can answer the future back and say, “Hold on. Hold on. We’re doing everything we can. We will not let you down.”

Edward Griffin, both in terms of information and in terms of attitude and work-ethic; and because I feel that — despite the significant amount of respect that he does receive — he is still quite underrated, especially by those who are fairly new to this game, I have compiled a fairly comprehensive list of links to many of his most important works below. On the evening of March 19, 2009, Lawrence Korb spoke at the University of Pittsburgh (video at the end of this article).

Korb was the Vice President of the Council of Foreign Relations (CFR) from 1998-2002. He was also the CFR’s director of National Security Studies during that same period. From 1985-1986 he was Vice President of Corporate Operations at Raytheon. He was Assistant Secretary of Defense from 1981-1985 during the Reagan Administration. He was an advisor to Barack Obama when Obama was campaigning for president.  He currently is a Senior Fellow at The Center for American Progress (CAP) and a Senior Advisor to the Center for Defense Information.

Afghanistan: Deadly, Unaffordable Quagmire For Sale

The National parties and their presidential candidates, with the Eastern Establishment assiduously fostering the process behind the scenes, moved closer together and nearly met in the center with almost identical candidates and platforms, although the process was concealed as much as possible, by the revival of obsolescent or meaningless war cries and slogans (often going back to the Civil War).…The argument that the two parties should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can “throw the rascals out” at any election without leading to any profound or extreme shifts in policy. … Either party in office becomes in time corrupt, tired, unenterprising, and vigorless. Then it should be possible to replace it, every four years if necessary, by the other party, which will be none of these things but will still pursue, with new vigor, approximately the same basic policies.” – Carroll Quigley, Council on Foreign Relations member and historian, as well as mentor to CFR and Trilateral Commission member Bill Clinton, in his book Tragedy & Hope (1966), pp. 1247-1248

Korb discussed Obama’s plans for Afghansistan at length.  He said, “The indications are that, you know, he’s gonna be going big in Afghanistan.”

He acknowledged that this is a betrayal of what his supporters — many of whom are anti-war — were led to believe about Obama’s agenda during his campaign.

“A lot of people say, ‘Well, no.  We voted for him because we didn’t want [to go] to any wars!’” Korb said with an amused smirk.

In a mocking tone, he continued: “And… you know on the ‘BLOGOSPHERE’ you should see the stuff.  I mean, these people are mobilizing to stop going to Afghanistan.”

But Korb did not seem to think that this pervasive, adamant grassroots opposition to “going big” in Afghanistan should give Obama a moment’s pause, despite the fact that, according to Korb, “seeing it through” will require America to pay a high price, in both money and lives.

“I think what the president has to say if he wants to do it is be honest with the American people and say, ‘Look, if you want to do this, and you want to do it right, you’re going to be there for another ten years.’” Korb said.

Later, Korb indicated that ten years may not even be long enough.  He said, “Within ten years it should be okay if you do everything right.  But there’s no guarantee.” (emphasis added)

This is especially noteworthy considering that he also acknowledged that so far “we haven’t done it very well”

Korb went on to say (possibly still in presidential ventriloquist mode), “You’re gonna have to have at least 100,000 troops… and what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna put the troops in the areas to protect the population [inaud] where the Taliban is.  That’s gonna be more casualities, okay?  And you’re gonna have to do that, and it’s gonna be expensive.”

He also acknowledged that the Afghan people have become increasingly unsupportive of the U.S. occupation, and admitted that, in fact, the U.S. may never be able to regain widespread support from the Afghan people.

According to a poll conducted in late December through mid-January by the Afghan Center for Socio-Economic and Opinion Research in Kabul for ABC News, the BBC and ARD German television, only 47 percent of Afghans hold a favorable view of the United States.  This number has fallen 36 percent since 2005, and the steepest drop has occured in the past year.  This may be due to the fact that, as the Guardian reported last month, “The number of civilians killed in the war in Afghanistan increased by 40% last year to a record 2,118 people”.

More than 420 U.S. troops have already been killed in combat in Afghanistan since the war began, according to USA Today.

Despite all of this, the former Council on Foreign Relations Vice President and Obama Advisor said that the president has “got to see it through” in Afghanistan, and that Afghanistan is a “real threat to the United States.”

“It’s gonna be a very, very difficult sell.”

“Once the ruling members of the CFR have decided that the U.S. Government should adopt a particular policy, the very substantial research facilities of CFR are put to work to develop arguments, intellectual and emotional, to support the new policy, and to confound and discredit, intellectually and politically, any opposition.  The most articulate theoreticians and ideologists prepare related articles, aided by the research, to sell the new policy and to make it appear inevitable and irresistible.” - Rear Admiral Chester Ward,  Former Judge Advocate General of the U.S. Navy and a member of the CFR for sixteen years, in his book Kissinger on the Couch (1975), co-authored by Phyllis Schlafly, p. 151

“This is not a war of choice; it’s a war of necessity”, Korb said.

Narco State

One way that Korb attempted to “sell” his plan for Afghanistan was by expressing concern that Afghanistan could “become a narco state”.

It is interesting that he would say that in light of the fact that in 2000, the year prior to the U.S.-led invasion and occupation of Afghanistan, the Taliban had banned opium poppy growing, causing the country’s opium yield to drop by a whopping 94% in 2001. [source]

However, within a couple months of the CFR-dominated U.S. government announcing its “War on Terrorism” and invading Afghanistan (using the false flag attack of 9/11 as a pretext),  The Independent ran a story headlined, “Opium Farmers Rejoice at the Defeat of the Taliban”.  This article indicated that massive opium planting was underway all over the country.

In actuality, the invasion was planned months before 9/11, and Bush was presented with detailed war plans for Afghanistan two days before the event. [source]

Another article in late 2001 in The Observer stated that farmers were “being encouraged to plant as much opium as possible” by warlords allied with the victorious Americans.

Then, in December of 2001, The Asia Times reported that the U.S. had gotten convicted drug lord and opium kingpin Ayub Afridi released from jail, allegedly to help establish control in Afghanistan.

A few months later, it was reported that estimated opium harvests in Afghaistan in the late-spring of 2002 would reach a world record 4,500 metric tons.  In 2007, that number was a record-breaking 8,000 tons; and in 2008 it was 7,700 tons.

Last month, Reuters reported that today Afghanistan “grows more than 90 percent of the world’s illegal opium poppies, the source of heroin.”

Peter Dale Scott is a former Canadian diplomat and professor at the UC Berkeley.  He has studied what he calls the “deep state” (as opposed to the “public state”) for decades, and has written nine heavily-footnoted books, some of which deal in large part with CIA covert operations and/or the drug trade.  On 3/18/09, the evening before Korb spoke in Pittsburgh, he had this to say on the Alex Jones Radio Show:

We had the cocaine epidemic that turned into the crack epidemic. And so much of it was as a result of what the CIA was doing.  It’s now official that in the first year that the CIA started operations in Afghanistan back in 1980, within months — certainly in that year — we went from virtually no heroin coming from that part of the world to the United States to forty percent of our heroin coming from that part of the world to the United States.  And it’s very striking right now that we can’t get the people who are in Afghanistan to target the big drug lords, you know?  Drug refineries… they process the heroin right there in Afghanistan.

Three days later, Global and Mail, Canada’s largest-circulation national newspaper, published an article entitled “Afghan officials in drug trade cut deals across enemy lines”, and subtitled, “Corrupt politicians are safeguarding traffickers who then help the Taliban, Globe investigation finds”.

The article relates the story of a specially trained unit of police in Afghanistan which caught a drug dealer moving 183 kilograms of pure heroin, only to discover that the man had “a signed letter of protection” from “their own boss… General Mohammed Daud Daud, the deputy minister of interior responsible for counternarcotics, widely considered Afghanistan’s most powerful anti-drug czar.”

“That document, along with other papers and interviews with well-placed sources, show that Gen. Daud has safeguarded shipments of illegal opiates even as he commands thousands of officers sworn to fight the trade”, the article said.

And who is propping up these “corrupt politicians”?

“The annual budget for the entire Afghan government… is largely provided by the United States and other international donors.”  – NY Times 3/18/09

It’s Pakistan

Korb said:

And its not just Afghanistan; it’s Pakistan…  I mean Pakistan has hundreds of nuclear weapons… you can destabilize that whole region.  And this is where Al Qaeda Central is.  If you walk away, you know, they’ll get ready to, you know, begin to do other things.

Personally, this came to mind when I was listening to him say that.

When the Iranians had a message for the Bush administration, they called the VP of the CFR

Korb told this story:

I was in New York in 2001 [inaud] The Council on Foreign Relations… 68th and Park.  About a week after that I get a call from the Iranian Ambassador to the U.S., because, remember we don’t have relations in Washington… and I at that time was Vice President [of the Council on Foreign Relations]… He said ‘I’d like you to come over for dinner with some of your scholars that work on that part of the world… And basically he said ‘We want you to convey this message to the government: We’re with you in Afghanistan.  We don’t like the Taliban; we don’t like this narco stuff; we don’t like Al Qaeda; we’ll do whatever we can to help you.’  Well, I think they had an exaggerated opinion of the Council on Foreign Relations… [inaud]… I called Condi Rice and told her.

Now, come 2002, January, Bush gives the “Axis of Evil” Speech.  I get a call from the ambassador; this time [inaud]… and of course they have not been helpful in Afghanistan since then.  And you may know that in 2003 they offered to sit down and talk to us about a whole bunch of issues, and we got mad at the Swiss Ambassador for transmitting the thing.

“Previous attempts to document CFR’s influence have been ignored or smeared… as ‘exaggerated’.  This is to be expected, considering the beachheads that key CFR members hold in all parts of the media, and especially because any attempts to tell the truth about the power and activities of CFR members is bound to sound exaggerated.  Actually, however, all the published accounts thus far have understated CFR’s influence…” – Rear Admiral Chester Ward, Former Judge Advocate General of the U.S. Navy and CFR member for sixteen years, in his book Kissinger on the Couch (1975), co-authored by Phyllis Schlafly, p. 148

Posse Comitatus

Members We Are Change Pittsburgh were on hand to film this talk, and the group’s organizer Dave Beard was able to ask Korb two questions during the Q&A session.

In the preface to his first question, Beard first mentioned recent plans to station active U.S. Army unit’s inside the United States.

In September of 2008, Democracy Now! reported:

Beginning in October, the Army plans to station an active unit inside the United States for the first time to serve as an on-call federal response in times of emergency. The 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent thirty-five of the last sixty months in Iraq, but now the unit is training for domestic operations. The unit will soon be under the day-to-day control of US Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command. The Army Times reports this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to Northern Command. The paper says the Army unit may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control. The soldiers are learning to use so-called nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals and crowds.

Beard asked, “Doesn’t that violate Posse Comitatus?”

Beard also cited a recent plan by the Iowa Army National Guard to conduct urban warfare training exercises.  These plans were canceled as a result of public outcry.

Korb paced around the stage with a perplexed look on his face throughout Beard’s question, rocking back and forth.

Beard asked “Have you heard anything about that?  What are your thoughts on that?”

Interestingly, despite his aforementioned body language and facial contortions, Korb did not answer the former question (“Have you heard anything about that?”) directly.

KORB: Well you got two… you’ve got to be careful.  You know, the National Guard, when it’s not mobilized is under the government.  We can use the national guard in a state function and that does not violate Posse Comitatus…

BEARD: …But… I’m sorry to interupt you.  But, we used them in Katrina to [inaud] towns.  They were used in New Orleans to disarm the public.

KORB: Well, yeah, okay, but then… and that’s an interesting legal question.  Whose authority were they under?  And basically they were under the control, theoretically, of the governor.  You had the [General?] in there to coordinate it.  And remember, the [inaud] Coast Guard… But yeah, that’s, uh, there’s been a lot of people that have argued we ought to drop that now, you know, given the fact we might have a terrorist attack and so on and so forth.  But the president can announce that he’s recinding it temporarily.  Johnson did it in ’68 when we had riots in Detriot at the height of, you know, after Dr. King’s death and uh, people protesting the war.  Um, President… the first President Bush sent Marines to Los Angeles after the Rodney King and… see what happens… the governor has to say “My National Guard can’t handle it, can you send in active.”  And if you’re requested you can do that.  In fact, if you go back and look at the history of Katrina it was one of these things… Bush kept saying “The governor hasn’t asked me”… you see… you know… and that delayed the thing.

False Flags

“Naturally, the common people don’t want war… That is understood.  But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a Parliament or a Communicst Dictatorship…  the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders.  That is easy.  All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger.  It works the same way in any country.” – Hermann Goering, a leading member of the Nazi Party and Hitler’s designated successor, as quoted by Gustave Gilbert in the book Nuremberg Diary

One interesting comment by Korb came in response to a question about the American people’s lack of support for the occupation of Afghanistan.

In 2002, the people who voted no all lost the elections. (laughs)

You know, it’s interesting that you mention that.  Go back and look at the Gulf of Tonkin, which everybody remembers was the authorization to go to Vietnam; and it turns out that that incident never happened.  I remember — I was on active duty — my commanding officer [inaud] said “Why would the North Vietnamese do this!?  You know?  I mean, it doesn’t make sense!”  Well [inaud] they didn’t do it.

The only two Senators who voted against that, Ernest Gruening and Wayne Morse, lost the next election.  So it’s us when you get right down to it.

Just to be clear, the “us”, in this context, seemed to mean the American people.

Korb’s point is only slightly valid at best, and an outright canard at worst.  It is disingenuous not to assign any culpability for these policies to the elitist collectivists who have dominated our federal government for decades.  As a matter of fact, they deserve the lion’s share.  It is well documented that the ruling establishment in this country (and other countries as well) frequently uses the problem, reaction, solution paradigm, whereby (often criminal) elements within the government create, facilitate the creation of, or just plain fabricate a “problem” to incite a “reaction” from the people in order to get them to accept a “solution”, which is, in reality, the establishment’s predetermined political agenda.  The key aspect of this paradigm is the inherent deceit; deceit as a catalyst for manufacturing consent for a policies that the public would otherwise not be likely to support.  There’s a word for this: it’s called “fraud”.

It may be tempting to blame the people (fraud victims) for “falling for” these ruses, but the truth is that it is ultimately the ruling establishment who is primarily to blame for the success of these tactics.  By seizing control of the education system and mass media, these people have deliberately and systematically worked to program generations of Americans from birth to be mostly oblivious to their machinations.

(Nevertheless, “when you get right down to it”, even if average Americans are not the primary ones to blame for the widespread ignorance in this country, it is “us”, and only us, who can save ourselves from the tyranny that they have endeavored to condition us to acquiesce to.  What is needed [and is in fact underway right now] is a mass “awakening”, not only to their endgame, but also their means to that end.  This is why exposing the problem reaction solution paradigm and real-world examples thereof is a critical aspect of combating the “new world order” agenda.)

It is especially interesting that Korb would bring up a false flag lie such as the Gulf of Tonkin in response to a question about the public’s initial support for war in Afghanistan considering that 9/11, the supposed justification for the invasion and subsequent occupation of that country, is the mother of all modern false flag events and the quintessential example of “problem, reaction, solution”.

Beard Questioned Korb on this.

BEARD: I noticed that you talked a lot about Afghanistan, but I don’t think there’s enough said about why we’re in Afghanistan.  Obviously 9/11 happened, but going back to the Commission Report, it was kind of a whitewash if you ask me.  And in light of the fact that we know that there’s been a lot of false flag events perpetrated by the United States – there was the Gulf of Tonkin, Operation Gladio in Europe, the U.S.S. Liberty Incident – why wasn’t there a proper investigation of 9/11?  And do you support a new investigation?

KORB: Well, you did have the 9/11 Commission… whether… I’ll leave it up to you to judge.  I think that, um…

BEARD: Well even the Commissioners said they were stifled, there wasn’t…

KORB: …Well, ok I’m just… (trails off into laughter)

BEARD: (finishes brief comment, inaudible)

KORB: Alright, well you had… the administration did not even want to have [a] 9/11 Commission… if it were not for the, the, you know, the victims you know [inaud].  No, I agree!  And they talk about now… I’m not worried about putting people in jail, but I think we ought to investigate and see what happened so we don’t do it, you know, we don’t do it again.  Because – go back and look at your history – in the 70’s [when we had] the Church Commission, we found out that, you know, some of the things that were going on that we didn’t really know, and, you know, we shouldn’t have been involved [with].

Dozens of people commented on the article (in the public comments section), most of whom expressed disdain for Clinton and the New World Order agenda, and implicit or explicit support for the article. However, one person wrote:

As with all ’secret orders’ and the like; I will ask you to please devote some time to establishing what the pecking order of the society is. The goal of sites like this is to prove their existence; well, okay. Show me the pyramid of ‘Illuminati,’ and ‘Rothschild,’ and ‘The NAU.’

Lay it out. Give us a map or something.

Here was my response:

To begin with, the words “Illuminati”, “Rothschild”, and “The NAU” do not appear in this article.

Secondly, the article links to two essays (complete with footnotes) which go into much more depth about the history, ideology, interrelation, and “pecking order” of the organizations working to create a totalitarian world government

That you ignore these two obvious facts seems to indicate that you are not sincerely seeking this information but merely trying cast unwarranted doubt on the information presented in this article.

As a matter of fact, one of the essays, The Future Is Calling (Part 2): Secret Societies and Hidden Agendas by G. Edward Griffin, explicitly says, “There is no reason to think that Rhodes was a member of the Illuminati, which according to Bavarian records, was disbanded there in 1784.”

However, as Griffin explains (and Quigley confirms) the “pyramid” that exists today is “based on the classical conspiracy model taken from Adam Weishaupt’s Illuminati”.

Griffin, summarizing Quigley, says:

It is characterized by organizational rings within rings. At the center is the leader and a few trusted associates called the Elect. These people create a slightly larger organization around themselves, which attracts members who have no knowledge that there is an inner core of direction. This outer ring then creates another, larger organization around itself with the same relationship to its inner ring of control. The larger organization then creates yet another larger organization, and so forth. These rings extend outward until, finally, they reach into the mainstream community where they enlist the services of innocent people who perform various tasks of the secret society without realizing who is creating the agenda or why.

Members of the outer rings are not allowed to see the existence of the inner rings. Only those few who prove themselves worthy are shown the deeper connection and invited to advance. It is through this structure that a small group of men can direct the activities of mass organizations and determine the policies of nations

The inner circle of this conspiracy is called the Society of the Elect. Originally, it consisted of Rhodes and a small brain trust from British banking and politics. After Rhodes’ death, and with the arrival of such powerful participants as Andrew Carnegie, J.P. Morgan, and John D, Rockefeller, the center of gravity began to shift from London to New York and eventually came to rest in the Rockefeller group with additional centers of influence in such organizations as the Bilderberg Group and the Trilateral Commission. It was at this point that the goal also shifted from the expansion of the British Empire to the creation of global collectivism.

The secondary ring around the Society of the Elect is called The Round Table. It was established with branches in Britain, each of the British dependencies, and the United States. These, in turn, created outer rings in each country as front groups for the inner Round Tables. In Britain and it dependencies, the outer rings are called The Royal Institute for International Affairs. In Britain, it is informally known as Chatham House, named after the 18th century mansion in which it is located once occupied by William Pitt, First Earl of Chatham. The word Royal is not attractive to Americans; so, in the United States, the outer ring was called The Council on Foreign Relations.

Quigley himself says:

This organization has been able to conceal its existence quite successfully, and many of its most influential members, satisfied to possess the reality rather than the appearance of power, are unknown even to close students of British history … partly because of the deliberate policy of secrecy which this Group has adopted, partly because the Group itself is not closely integrated but rather appears as a series of overlapping circles or rings partly concealed by being hidden behind formally organized groups of no obvious political significance.

He also says:

In the secret society, Rhodes was to be leader. Stead, Brett (Lord Esher), and Milner were to form an executive committee [called “The Society of the Elect”]. Arthur (Lord) Balfour, (Sir) Harry Johnston, Lord Rothschild, Albert (Lord) Grey, and others were listed as potential members of a “Circle of Initiates”; while there was to be an outer circle known as the “Association of Helpers” (later organized by Milner as the Round Table organization).

He also says:

Through Lord Milner’s influence, these men were able to win influential posts in government, in international finance, and become the dominant influence in British imperial affairs and foreign affairs up to 1939. In 1909 through 1913, they organized semi-secret groups known as known as Round Table Groups, in the chief British dependencies and the United States. These still function in eight countries…. Once again the task was given to Lionel Curtis who established, in England and each dominion, a front organization to the existing local Round Table Group. This front organization, called the Royal Institute of International Affairs, had as its nucleus in each area the existing, submerged Round Table Group. In New York it was known as the Council on Foreign Relations, and was a front for J.P. Morgan and Company.

Finally, as Wood explains in The Trilateral Commission: Usurping Sovereignty:

If the Council on Foreign Relations could be said to be a spawning ground for the concepts of one-world idealism, then the Trilateral Commission was the “task force” assembled to assault the beachheads…. While virtually all Trilateral Commission members from North America have also been members of the CFR, the reverse is certainly not true. It is easy to over-criticize the CFR because most of its members seem to fill the balance of government positions not already filled by Trilaterals. The power structure of the Council is seen in the makeup of its board of directors: No less than 44 percent (12 out of 27) are members of the Commission! If director participation reflected only the general membership of the CFR, then only 3-4 percent of the board would be Trilaterals.

I’ve been doing a lot of research lately, and I recently came across this little-known quote while reading through Bill Clinton’s book My Life. In Chapter 24, on pages 338-339, he writes (emphasis added):

“I ended 1987 with my third speech of the decade at the Florida Democratic convention…

I told the Florida Democrats, “We have to do nothing less than create a new world economic order and secure the place of the American people within it.” The central arguments I made were “We’ve got to pay the price today to secure tomorrow” and “We’re all in it together.”

In retrospect, my speeches in the late eighties seem interesting to me because of their similarity to what I would say in 1992 and what I tried to do as President.”

Recall that Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar. Recall also that one of Clinton’s professors at Georgetown was Carroll Quigley, and that he has quoted Quigley and payed homage to him as a mentor many times in his speeches, including his 1992 nomination acceptance speech. In My Life he discusses the “lasting impact” that Quigley’s “insights” had on him.

On page ix* of The Anglo-American Establishment, Quigley writes:

“The Rhodes scholarship established by the terms of Cecil Rhodes’ seventh will are known to everyone. What is not so widely known is that Rhodes, in five previous wills, left his fortune to form a secret society, which was to devote itself to the preservation and expansion of the British Empire. And what does not seem to be known to anyone is that this secret society was created by Rhodes and his principal trustee, Lord Milner, and continues to exist to this day. To be sure, this secret society is not a childish thing like the Ku Klux Klan, and it does not have any secret robes, secret handclasps, or secret passwords. It does not need any of these, since its members know each other intimately. It probably has no oaths of secrecy nor any formal procedure of initiation. It does, however, exist and holds secret meetings…. This Group is, as I shall show, one of the most important historical facts of the twentieth century.”

And what were the goals of this “Group”? According to Quigley (Tragedy and Hope, p. 324; emphasis added):

“…nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. The system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert by secret agreements arrived at in frequent private meetings and conferences. The apex of the system was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basil, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world’s central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank …sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world”

And how does he know that? Two pages later he writes:

“I know of the operation of this network because I have studied it for twenty years and was permitted for two years during the 1960’s to examine its papers and secret records. I have no aversion to it or to most of its aims and have for much of my life been close to it and to many of its instruments. In general my chief difference of opinion is that it wishes to remain unknown.”

This is merely the tip of the iceberg. If you really want to understand the relevance of this quote by Clinton, I highly recommending reading the five part series entitled The Future Is Calling by G. Edward Griffin. All of these Quigley quotes can be found in part two, entitled Secret Societies and Hidden Agendas (though you will benefit greatly if you start with part one.)

Also, read The Trilateral Commission: Usurping Sovereignty by Patrick Wood. Bill Clinton was a member of the Trilateral Commission, which — as you will learn if you don’t already know — was founded in 1973 by David Rockefeller and Zbigniew Brzezinski with the explicit goal of creating the “new world economic order” that Clinton is talking about. The creation of this new world order, according to the Trilateral Commissioners’ own writings, means “working against the best interest of the United States”[1] to accomplish an “end run around national sovereignty, eroding it piece by piece”[2], which will eventually give way to a one world collectivist government run by them from behind the scenes.

Senator Barry Goldwater tried to warn us about this thirty years ago. In his book With No Apologies (1979), he wrote:

“Where I differ from [then Governor Nelson Rockefeller] is in the suggestion implicit throughout his [1962 lectures at Harvard University] that… the United States must submerge its national identity and surrender substantial matters of sovereignty to a new political order. The implications in Governor Rockefeller’s presentation have become concrete proposals advanced by David Rockefeller’s newest international cabal, the Trilateral Commission. Whereas the Council on Foreign Relations is distinctly national in membership, the Trilateral Commission is international… It is intended to be the vehicle for multinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interests by seizing control of the political government of the United States. Zbigniew Brzezinski and David Rockefeller screened and selected every individual who was invited to participate in shaping and administering the proposed new world order.” (pg 293)

“What the Trilaterals truly intend is the creation of a worldwide economic power superior to the political governments of the nation-states involved… As managers and creators of the system they will rule the future.” (pg. 299)

Today Obama named Richard Holbrooke special envoy for Pakistan and Afghanistan

Holbrooke is on the Board of Directors of the Council on Foreign Relations. **

He is also a member of the Trilateral Commission.

He is also a Bilderberg attendee. Here is footage of Holbrooke outside of the Bilderberg at the Brookstreet Hotel in Ottawa, Canada in 2006 (getting yelled at by Alex Jones).

He is certainly not the first of his kind to receive such an appointment in the new administration, however. Obama has already appointed many other members of the CFR, members of the Trilateral Commission, and Bilderberg Attendees, not the least of which being CFR member/globalist Hillary Clinton, whose husband tried to “create a new world economic order” when he was president, by his own admission.
